Nairobi, September 20

Television news girl Grace Kuria has called it quits at the Chinese-owned China Global Television Network (CGTN)-Africa after seven months only.

Ms Kuria, who joined the station from the Standard Group-run Kenya Television Network (KTN) news outlet, announced her departure through her twitter account on Monday, September 20.

Ms Kuria, who started her career at the President Uhuru Kenyatta-linked broadcaster, K24 Television - a station in the Mediamax Network stable, says during her stay at the Chinese broadcaster, she has been able to horne her digital media skills and grown exponentially.

Although she did not disclose her next move, she noted that the experience gained at the Media house will go along way in shaping her new career path.

Efforts by now.co.ke to get her word on her next step were futile as the calls and texts when unanswered by the time of publication.

During her departure from KTN News, Ms Kuria did not disclose her next move only to surprise her fans and followers with the news of joining the global broadcaster.

KTN would also suffer another blow after her departure as long serving news anchor and reporter, Ben Kitili, announced his resignation from the Moi family-linked Mombasa Road media station.

Kitili joined his former colleagues, Lofty Matambo and Fridah Mwaka, at the Nation Media Group broadcast wing, NTV.

Her departure from CGTN-Africa comes at a time when media houses are in high recruitment drive as the country gears to the August 9, 2022 General Election.
