The wait is finally over for Barbardian musician Rihanna and rapper boyfriend Asap Rocky after it was reported on Thursday, May 19 that they welcomed a baby boy last week on Friday,  May 13 in Los Angeles, California.

Being the first child of both stars, it is believed that they are planning to keep information regarding his name under wraps while they reel in their new life as new parents.

The last time Rihanna was last seen in public was on May 9 in Los Angeles for Mother's Day weekend when she and Rocky grabbed dinner at Giorgio Baldi restaurant.

The 34-year-old singer announced her pregnancy in January through a maternity shoot with her partner in the streets of New York and seemingly broke the internet, with tons of congratulatory messages pouring in from her friends and fans from all over the world.

She then became an internet sensation after following her eccentric sense of style where she flaunted her bump to the world in designer pieces of clothing,  stating that she was redefining maternity wear, maintaining that it did not have to be boring.

Rihanna's unique style got her covered by the popular Vogue magazine, where she gushed over her partner and new life as a mother, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in New York City honored her with a surprise from the Met Gala as the Met Museum dedicated a Greek Goddess Statue in her likeness to pay homage to the fashionable queen.

Her pregnancy was, however,  not one without drama as just last month her partner Rocky was arrested upon their arrival in Los Angeles from Barbados, in connection to an incident where he was accused of handling a firearm and causing injuries to his acquaintance.

He was later released to be with her as they prepared to welcome their bundle of joy, as he had publicly stated that he was excited to be a father because he knew he would have a very 'fly' child.
