Did you know you can now exit the WhatsApp group without the app notifying anyone? Well, that's the last update that has managed to attract millions of users across the globe. This is a step in the right direction in enhancing privacy features in the user experience.

There are other many similar products in the market such as iMessage and telegram but  WhatsApp remains a market leader.

Whatsapp started gaining traction in 2010 when the smartphone market began to sprout. The secret behind the meta-owned business could be early market penetration and constant improvements.

According to statistics WhatsApp now commands over two billion active users.

Recently Mark Zuckerberg the meta group CEO has launched features that will improve the privacy of the users. Zuckerberg said “The features will help keep Whatsapp messaging as private and secure as face-to-face conversations.

•You will soon be exiting WhatsApp groups without notifying everyone apart from admins of the group

•Introduction of view once messages-initially you could screenshot the message after opening it. Not any more. Whatsapp has disenabled screenshots on view once messages.

•Whatsapp users can now control who can or cannot see them online.

•Out of chat playback-Whatsapp has a cool audio-messaging feature for users who find typing tedious yet want to communicate in an easy and expressive way. Previously you could not listen to audio outside of the chat. With the introduction of the new features, you can multitask on other things while listening to a voice note.

•Fast playback on voice note-WhatsApp now enables you to play audio messages faster by increasing the speed by which they are played.

•Draft preview-you might want to listen to the message you just recorded before hitting the send button to ensure you communicate just the right information.

Pause and resume recording- With this feature you can pause recording audio to reorganize your thoughts and resume once ready

•Quick reactions-you can quickly react to a message with the six available emojis-surprised, sad, laugh and love. Whatsapp revealed that it will be integrating more reactions moving forward.

•Increase in the number of group membership-Group admins can add up to 512 members to a WhatsApp group.

•Users are now able to send files that are bigger than 2GB. The limit was earlier capped at 100MB.
