Chaos Forces Gachagua To Cut Short his Speech in Mutuati, Meru

Kenya Kwanza deputy presidential candidate Rigathi Gachagua was forced to cut short his speech during a political rally in Mutuati, Meru County on Wednesday.

Gachagua who was accompanied by Senator Mithika Linturi hurriedly left the venue after chaos erupted.

There was a fist fight after two youth groups clashed over unknown issues.

Police officers who were at the scene found it hard to control the rowdy youth and at some point they  lobbed teargas into the air to dispatch them.

Moments later after the situation was contained Gachagua took to the Social Media to condemn the act throwing blames to their opponents.

"Any person who thinks of using our unemployed youths to cause violence is primitive and will be ashamed by the resounding Kenya Kwanza victory in the next 24 days. This election gives a good democratic chance to choose leaders who have people’s interest at heart and service to our country,”  read his post on Twitter.
