DCI Launch Hunt for Main Suspect Behind Murder of 19-year-old Purity Wangechi Kiringa

 Sleuths attached to the Directorate of Criminal investigations have launched a search for a video disc jockey identified as  VDJ Flex, the main suspect in the gruesome murder of 19-year-old Purity Wangechi Kiringa.

The deceased's body which was discovered close to Mburiria estate in Kiambu County on Saturday morning, May 14 had visible stab wounds and strangulation marks.

According to the detectives, Ms. Kiringa had been killed elsewhere and her body dumped at the scene by her killers.

The detectives recovered bloodstained beddings, clothes, and her identification documents at the scene of the crime.

Preliminary investigations established that the deceased who was a student at the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication (KIMC) had left school to visit her boyfriend, who resides in Kirigiti, Kiambu county.

Friends interviewed by the DCI stated that the deceased and her boyfriend had recently had a misunderstanding after she discovered that her boyfriend was a thug and confronted him with the facts.

DCI further stated that an elite team from the Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau had been dispatched to hunt down the suspect.

Meanwhile, Ms. Kiringa's body has been moved to the city mortuary pending post morterm.
