Panic As School Principal Goes Missing In Kirinyaga County

Sebastian Njiru Gikunju,56, a high school principal has been missing since last week Tuesday. The family now suspects that he could have been kidnapped.

Sebastian is a school principal of Olkurto Secondary School , a district school in Narok North.

He had travelled to Mwea Kirinyaga from Narok county while schools had closed. He stopped by to see his family and would later travel to Meru for the Narok North Sub-county principal conference.

But as fate would have it, the principal never got to Meru as was later confirmed by the county director of education.

According to the Divisional Criminal Investigations Officer, his phone signal was last traced in Mwea town before it went off on Wednesday. Preliminary investigations show that he went missing en route to Meru from Mwea, Kirinyaga County.

While speaking to the press his family expressed their psychological torture following the disappearance of their kin and have called upon members of the public to collaborate with police in finding Sebastian Njiru,

“He came with another vehicle and told us his vehicle had an accident and had left it in a garage,” Anne recounted of her last time with her husband.

His vehicle, a Mitsubishi Pajero, KAW 484A, is also yet to be recovered.

His wife then suggested that he boards public transport to Meru.

The matter was reported at Kiamaciri Police Station and the police boss,Wilson Koskei, confirmed that they have started investigations and signaled the DCIO in Nakuru, Kirinyaga, and Meru counties.

After unsuccessful visits to the hospitals, police stations, and morgues the family has called upon the help of the public to retrace their kin Sebastian Gikunju.
