Sonko Loses: Supreme Court Overturns His Appeal

The Supreme Court has nullified former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko's appeal challenging his impeachment by the Nairobi County Assembly.

In a joint verdict delivered on Friday, the seven-judge bench ruled that Sonko was fairly impeached; law says anyone seeking governor seat must not have been found guilty of contravening Chapter 6 of Constitution.
