Roots Party Presidential Candidate George Wajackoya intends to appoint Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti as the Interior Cabinet Secretary should he form the next government.
Wajakoya made this known, during his campaign tour in Meru County, Wajackoyah defended his choice praising Kinoti's boldness in handling graft cases in the Justice system.
“We want to deal with thieves of morale, the era of ‘wash wash’ and stealing public money and then you go telling people that you will be the next president. Kinoti is a man he has really tried to wrestle them though the issue has been politicized,” Wajackoyah said.
He warned those attacking Kinoti saying, he was unlawfully being criticised by politicians and he would appoint him as a replacement for Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i if he wins the August elections.
At the same time, the Roots Presidential Candidate also opted for lawyer Muthomi Thiankolu to the position of the Attorney General in his government.
“Am going to appoint Muthomi Thiankolu if he accepts to be the new attorney general from August. When Muthomi is there as the attorney general and Kinoti as CS Interior wont I be able to do my job?” he added.
