Officers from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) on the morning of Wednesday, April 24, 2024, raided the home of former Treasury Cabinet Secretary Ukur Yatani in Marsabit.

The former Treasury CS is wanted in connection with a suspected graft case and is currently being held at the EACC Integrity Center Police Station, pending arraignment.

Yatani served as National Treasury CS from January 14, 2020, to September 2022.

According to reports, also on EACC's radar is Marsabit Governor Mohamud Mohamed Ali and several other top county officials.
