Julie Soweto and Paul Mwangi advocates of Raila and Karua have practically demonstrated through a PowerPoint presentation to the court how votes on forms 34B might have been tampered with on the IEBC server.

The name of one Venezuelan Jose Camargo appeared on the top left of one form 34B which was uploaded on the 9th of August. The form belonged to Gacharaigu Primary School in Murang’a County.

 This is after the IEBC had assured Kenyans that no foreigners would be involved in the election process.

"Before the election, these people were all logged out and on the date of the election, none of these people was in the system," Gumbo stated. Lawyer Eric Gumbo appears for the IEBC in the Supreme Court Petition.

The two advocates broke down the numbers showcased in the form and a counter-signed IEBC stamp.

“When we go to the bombshell itself, the top left-hand corner of the form, we were told by Mr. Gumbo there were no foreigners in this election, we were told the foreigners left before August 8, we were told they did not even have access to maintain the server. At the top left-hand corner is the name of one of the Venezuelans Jose Camargo, this is the person who decided the president-elect of this country.”

Ms. Julie Soweto also unearthed two forms 34b from  Kiems Kit with the same serial number F230450M00204133. One form was from Nyeri while the other one was from Mt.Elgon.

The advocate questioned how one Kiems Kit could be transferred to another location 2000 kilometers apart in two hours.

"Each polling station had its own unique Kiems kit which was supposed to transmit its unique address" Ms.Julie Soweto stated.

In response, Senior Counsel Fred Ngatia asked for more time to demystify the allegations leveled against his client Mr.William Ruto.

The DCI, however, accused the three Venezuelan officials of infiltrating the IEBC systems after their forensic search.

Jose Camargo is a SMATMATIC employee. Smartmatic is the Venezuelan company that had been contracted by IEBC to supply election materials.

On July 21st Jose Camargo was smoked out by the DCI having carried suspicious election material in his personal luggage alongside Joel Gustavo Rodríguez García and Salvador Javier Suarez upon entry at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
