Fresh details regarding the death of Samuel Mugo Mugota, the man who was shot in broad daylight at Mirema Drive have emerged.

Confidential police sources disclosed that Mr. Mugota who was shot on Monday afternoon, May 16 was the head of a criminal cartel that knocked out revellers in clubs.

The police further detailed that the deceased was part of a big cartel that mostly involved women who would be used to spike drinks with life-threatening drugs commonly known as (mchele) before stealing from customers.

"The man headed a big syndicate that mostly involved women who would be used to spike revellers drinks before stealing from the customers," an officer who sought anonymity stated.

The sources additionally stated that the deceased who was nicknamed Keupe had been arrested by the DCI officers on several occasions and had several pending court cases.

In addition to the spiking syndicate, the deceased was also involved in SIM swapping and 'Wash Wash'.

Meanwhile, the Kasarani Sub County police commander Peter Mwanzo stated that they are currently interrogating two people to establish the motive behind the shooting and the shooter's identity.

Mr. Mugota who was driving in a gold tuned Honda CRV at the time of the incident had dropped off his daughter home from school before meeting his untimely death, as he went away a lone man who had just disembarked from a getaway Toyota Corolla Azio shot fire at him killing him on the spot.
