Nominated lawmaker David Sankok will not be seeking any elective position ahead of the August 9, polls.

The announcement of him pulling out of politics was made known on Monday, July 4, during an interview on Spice FM.

The MP, who made a comeback in Deputy President William Ruto's campaign trails after the tragic death of his son said he will now focus on his private businesses.

He noted that the issue of contesting is his personal decision.

"I decided this time round not to seek any elective position. I need to focus on my businesses because I started engaging in the advocacy of people with disabilities at a very early age, so I never had space to develop myself and that is what it is,” Sankok revealed.

He maintained that his decision is as a result of financial constraints ever since nominated in the National Assembly.

A renowned fanatic supporter of DP Ruto and his UDA Party, stated clearly to continue fighting for the people living with disability.

" I am always on time because I don't want anything to go by without me bringing up the issue of persons with disabilities."

The legislator talked of his frustrations as a Member of Parliament  for the last five years.

Sankok used the stage to rally support for Deputy President William Ruto’s manifesto, urging Kenyans to vote wisely in the coming elections.

In a new report released last year by a parliamentary watchdog dubbed Mzalendo Trust  indicates that MP Sankok was  among the top performing lawmakers for the year 2020.
