The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened a transfer  window to some 16,310 candidates snubbed university applications and instead opted to pursue other opportunities.

This, has been made known by  Chief Executive officer Dr Agnes Mercy Wahome to allow for inter-institutional transfer applications for students placed to various universities, colleges and TVET institutions for September intake program.

According to Wahome those revising their applications will submit online through the KUCCPS portal students.kuccps.net under the tab labelled “Transfers”.

To apply, students will be required to match the qualifications and cut-off points for the specific courses they have as imposed by the institutions. Cut-off points required to enroll in various courses vary according to the level of the university.

"For a transfer application to go through, an applicant must qualify for the programmes that he or she wishes to transfer to, in addition to satisfying the applicable cut-off points,”  Agnes Wahome told KBC.

KUCCPS portal will be opened on Monday, July 25, 2022 and end on August 24, 2022.

The process for applying for a transfer will come at a cost of Ksh1,000, which is the processing fee.

Applicants will be able to monitor the progress of their applications through the portal and, once approved, transfer letters will be posted on the portal for download by the applicants.

Application guidelines will be published on the application portal before the commencement of the exercise.
