Such an unexpected turn of events today as journalists were ordered out of the Azimio La Kenya meeting earlier today.

The meeting had all elected members from members of parliament, senators, governors, women representatives, and members of the county assembly.

All recording devices including phones were banned from the auditorium.

"As had been agreed during the meeting we will not have any media coverage so may I kindly request our friends the fourth estate to kindly do the cutaway and kindly exit the room." stated the facilitator.

Members were asked to put their phones on silent mode and be on the lookout for strange recording devices and raise alarm if need be.

"Thank you members of the fourth estate but you are now ordered to leave the room," stated the event coordinator.

This meeting was announced yesterday after the former prime minister addressed the nation yesterday at the same venue.

Mr.Raila Odinga chaired the meeting and was in the company of Kalonzo Musyoka and running mate Martha Karua.

Before the media was requested to leave the premises , Babu Owino who is an Embakasi East Member of Parliament hinted that the agenda of the meeting was to forge a way forward for the governance especially in the Senate and National Assembly.

On 16th August, he gave the way forward for the one Kenya Alliance after the presidential announcement was made by Mr.Wafula Chebukati. Azimio's flagbearer rejected the president-elect's pronouncement terming it fraudulent and unconstitutional."Our view in Azimio is clear, the figures by Chebukati are null and void ...In our view, their is neither a legally and validly declared winner nor a president-elect.

Raila Odinga went ahead to quote the Maina Kiai case " The law does not vest in the chairperson ,the powers of a dictator to rule IEBC unilaterally. Decisions must be taken by consensus or by a vote of the majority"

Four out of the seven members of the commission disassociated themselves with the results Chebukati presented at Bomas of Kenya as form 34C.

Juliana Cherera ,speaking for the four disgruntled commissioners said that Chebukati’s results were erroneously aggregated. This has brought about contention with the issue of quorum and legitimacy of the announcement.
