Raila trolls Ruto, gaining 7pc: Infotrack reveals

A new poll by Infotrack placed Azimio-One Kenya coalition party presidential aspirant Raila Odinga seven percent high to 49 percent.

In a similar survey conducted by Infotrack Odinga recorded 42 percent ahead of  his key challenger the Deputy President William Ruto who has posted 30 percent.

In the findings after the release of the poll, Ruto shed 8 percent in his approval rating translating to 30 percent of the voters preferring him to be the president if elections were held today.

The study which was conducted between 2 -3 July, 2022 interviewed 1024 respondents covering all the 17 constituencies and 85 wards of Nairobi County.

It added that majority of city residents would prefer Raila Odinga and Martha Karua ticket based on gender.

According to Infotrack 42 percent of the respondents would elect the Azimio duo while Ruto and Gachagua pair would attract a 34 percent.

Roots Party presidential candidate George Wajackoyah's popularity improved recording a five per cent approval rating. 

David Waihiga of the Agano party  posted  a 0.3 percent popularity rate.
