Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga is still the most popular presidential candidate at 46.7 percent, according to the latest TIFA polls.

In the poll findings, United Democratic Alliance party flag-bearer William Ruto is trailing Raila by a small margin of 2.3 percent having garnered 44.4 percent.

"Largely following the pattern of support for the party alliances or coalitions, Odinga-Karua receives most voting intention support in Nyanza, but also enjoy plurality support in Coast, Lower Eastern, Nairobi, South Rift, and Western.” TIFA noted in its study.

Roots Party candidate George Wajackoya is closing in on Ruto with about 1.8 percent while Waihiga Mwaure of Agano party is placed fourth with 0.1 percent of the voters support.

The study conducted July 21 to 24 indicated that UDA remains the most popular political party with 41 percent of Kenyans backing it followed by ODM at 34 percent.

According to the survey, Roots party candidate Prof George Wajackoyah and his running mate Justina Wamae enyoys much of their support from the  Coast and lower eastern regions.

This comes even as the Kenya Kwanza Presidential candidate William Ruto has been claiming that opinion polls are manipulated in favour of his Azimio la Umoja opponent Raila Odinga.

Ruto's camp Kenya Kwanza has recurrently alleged that their team is better than Azimio la Umoja and that's why the coalition is having the polls manufactured.
