Man Hacks Sister-In Law to Death Over Family Feud

Police in Rachuonyo, Homa Bay County have launched a manhunt for a man said to have hacked his sister-in-law to death over claims that she sent his wife away two months ago.

In the incident that occurred at Koriw village on Saturday, May 7, the deceased identified as Rose Atieno lost her life after the suspect attacked her with a panga inside her house.

Confirming the incident, the assistant chief Pius Odoyo Ayugi, noted that the suspect had sneaked into the deceased's house after her husband had left home for work.

The suspect then inflicted a deep cut on the deceased's neck and chopped off her left palm killing her instantly.

Angry neighbours later stormed the suspect's house upon learning that he had murdered the mother of two, torching his house with all property inside.

Meanwhile, the deceased's body was moved to Rachuonyo South Sub County hospital mortuary, while police continue hunting down the suspect.
