Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has called out Kanu party leader Gideon Moi over what she alleges as being on the fence regarding where his loyalty lies as he claims to be part of the Azimio One Kenya Coalition, yet has been seen vouching for Kalonzo Musyoka's bid for presidency through his Wiper Party.

She was speaking in an interview on NTV after Martha Karua was unveiled as the Azimio One Kenya running mate, where she expressed her shock in seeing the Baringo Senator in attendance, and later on seeing him at the SKM Centre in the unveiling of the Wiper running mate.

"I was very surprised by Baringo Senator Moi because he made an appearance at the KICC, and left his Secretary-General there,  and after went to the SKM Command Center, at the unveiling of Wiper's running mate. I must say as a woman who is a leader, I would not do that, I would not be indecisive in where I lie," she stated taking a jibe at the KANU leader.

Ngilu also questioned his motives especially with three months to the election, as other constituent parties within Azimio are gearing up to begin an intense campaign season for the former Prime Minister, especially after the unveiling of his deputy.

Moi has been vocal in his support for Musyoka as the running mate for the Azimio One Kenya Coalition and was among those who submitted the former Vice President's name to the selection panel for consideration.

This has hence signaled a split in affiliation, as Moi's party maintains that it is still part of the Azimio One Kenya outfit, regardless of their party leader's move to support Kalonzo who has since bolted out of the formation.

Kanu Sec-Gen Nick Salat assured that the party was still in pursuit of an Odinga presidency regardless of their leader's decisions, maintaining that it will work on vote mobilization to ensure that the dream is achieved.

"I am happy today that I am alive to see our fifth President has chosen a woman as his deputy. As you see me, lacking a stand is a very bad thing.

"I am here and I want to assure the fifth President that this time around, count KANU inside Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance. Ignore the other you've heard. I am telling you I am here to stay and we will vote for you," Salat stated.

Kalonzo on the other hand remains adamant that he has the full support of Moi, defending that as One Kenya co-principals, they still share the same ideologies and are intent on pursuing the presidency on their own terms.

"I know that some people have been saying that Gideon has been sent to spy but he is fully with us. My honest opinion is that OKA continues as originally established and we move on and compare notes. We have a business to save this nation," stated Musyoka during his address at the SKM Command Center.
