High Profile Individuals Shortlisted For Permanent Secretary Job Positions

The public service commission shortlisted 477 candidates out of the 9000 applications that were received for the PS jobs in the Ruto-Gachagua government 

The shortlisted candidates will begin interviews on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, and run for the next two weeks.


During the interview, the shortlisted candidates will be required to present clearance certificates from the DCI and KRA as well as a registered Credit Reference Bureau.

Members of the public have been called upon to present any information of interest relating to the candidates.

Some notable names shortlisted for the coveted jobs include;

•Mary Chebukati-wife of the IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati.


•Charles Ringera-a banker and economist with experience spanning over twenty years in both regulatory and commercial banking.

He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Board Secretary at Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)

•Winnie Guchu-she has previously served as Cabinet Administrative secretary in the Uhuru government. She has worked in the State Law Office, Department of Justice, and ministry of interior and coordination of the National Government.

•Laban Ayiro-currently serves as vice chancellor at Daystar University. Laban Ayiro is a professor with Ph.D. in Business Management from Kenyatta University.

•Isaac Mwaura-the former senator was part of the Ruto presidential campaign secretariat after losing to Simon King’ara in the UDA primaries.

•Nixon Korir -a veteran politician who lost his Lang’ata parliamentary seat to Felix Oduor popularly known as Jalang’o

•Mercy Mwangangi-she served as CAS in the ministry of   Health in the Uhuru government. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery from the University of Nairobi.

•Stanley Khainga-a medical doctor by profession and one of the most sought-after surgeons in the country.

He is chairman of the Kenya Society of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgeons. He also lectures at the University of Nairobi.

•Samuel Tunai -has served as Narok governor for two terms before losing to Ledama Olekina for the senatorial seat 

•Sarah Ruto-she currently serves as the Chief Administrative Secretary in the Education  docket


Other prominent individuals include Andrew Tuimur, Chris Kiptoo, Jerome Ochieng, Saitoti Torome, Belio Kipsang, and Kevin Desai, Zeinab Hussein, Julius Jwan, Margaret Mwakima, Fred Segor, and Esther Koimett all former legislators and state officers.
