Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has announced that he will be vying for the presidency in the upcoming general election.

This comes after the party severed its ties with the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition,.

Speaking at his party’s command center on Monday, May 16, Musyoka explained that his decision came after consultations with top officials.

“Kenyans had assumed when I said I will support Raila for a third time that it’s obvious (that I’ll be running mate,” the wiper leader stated.

Following his announcement, the former vice president unveiled Andrew Leteipa Sunkuli as his running mate.
