The Wiperparty leader Kalonzo Musyoka who yesterday made a U- turn on his earlierdecision to walk out of Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition and go solo in therace to State House could not resist the offers given to him by the formation.

The controversial Ukambani leader has secured cabinetslots and a commitment of law change to create the post of Prime Minister,which he will hold, should Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga form thenext government.

Kalonzo hadin the past few weeks protested that the Raila-led coalition was snubbing himafter the Odinga’s running mate post was given to Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua.

It is howeverbelieved that President Uhuru Kenyatta had to chip in to facilitate Mr Musyoka’s return to the fold and his acceptance of theChief Cabinet Secretary position that had initially been earmarked for him.

Sources have indicated that ministerialpositions fronted by Musyoka are those of Energy, Water, Health and Tourism.The Musyoka camp might also get the Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary post heonce held during the Kanu regime.

Insiders in Mr Musyoka’s Wiper camp were protesting that the Chief CS post that had been offered to their leader was lesspowerful compared tothat of theDeputy President position that Musyoka held during the government of the late President MwaiKibaki’s Government.

Musyoka inpresence of Wiper and KANU leaders announced that he has agreed to join Azimio yesterday and congratulated Narc Leader Martha Karua for taking the second incommand position in Azimio One Kenya coalition.

He later joined Mr Odinga for a rally at Mukuru Kwa Njenga in Embakasi SouthConstituency.

The Wiper leader officially dropped his presidential bid and promised torally his supporters behind Mr Odinga terming his move was as a result of wideconsultation with his party leadership, the clergy and professionals.

 Mr Musyoka had announced his solopresidential run on May 16, the same day Mr Odinga nominated Ms Karua as hisrunning mate.
