Kenyan musician Nameless, real name David Mathenge, could not contain his joy after welcoming a bouncing baby girl with his wife Wahu Kagwi on Tuesday, October 11.

Taking to his Instagram account, the lyrical maestro shared a sweet video of the then five-minute old babygirl who they named Shiru after his sister Rosemary Wanjiru Mutunkei, according to his Kikuyu tradition.

"This is after five minutes after she was born, My first earthly connection with my third born daughter, Shiru, named after my eldest sister Rosemary Mutunkeiaccording to Kikuyu tradition. We will also give her an African name soon, "he revealed.

He continued to update his friends and fans who had been following their pregnancy journey of the mother and child's progress, thanking them for their well wishes since they announced that they were expecting.

"Thank you for the prayers and well wishes,Shiru is healthy , beautiful and very alert. And Mama Shiru did a splendid job bringing her into the world. Mum is fine and excited to start this journey together," the father of three stated.

Congratulatory messages from fans and friends alike filled the comment section, wishing them the best on their new journey.
