Roots Party presidential candidate Prof. George Wajackoyah and his running mate Justina Mwangi Wamae had their turn on the bench on the JKLive Show on Citizen TV on Wednesday, June 8,  where they took their time to articulate their agenda for Kenyans.

Following Wajackoyah's popularization of his marijuana capitalization agenda, the duo has become subject to scrutiny ,with Kenyans wondering what else they had to offer the country and the forum became the perfect opportunity for Kenyans to take a listen to what the presidential hopeful had in store should he win the August 9 election.

What surprised Kenyans however, was Mwangi's prowess in her  articulation of issues concerning them, and how well she complemented her flag bearer when he handed over questions directed at him for her to shed light on.

When asked of how the adoption of commercialisation of marijuana would revive the country's economy and alleviate the debt burden on Kenyans, she put down the facts and figures, comparing how China, Kenya's main lender, relies on the trade of the drug to sustain its economy, which then caters to loans to other countries.

"On the issue of the debt ceiling, this is a situation in context, China in 2021 planted 169,000 acres of marijuana and they made 1.4 billion USD (KSh 163 billion) in returns, now here is China that has given us KSh 9 trillion loan, meaning we are already spending China's marijuana money in our projects, so if you do the math, why should we take handouts from China yet we have the arable land that we can plant our own bhang," she explained in the interview.

She further delved into the research they have conducted into the Marijuana business, explaining the strains of the drug that the Roots Party government would introduce in the country.

"Marijuana has two components which are CBD that gives us industrial fibre and THC which gives us the psychoactive ingredient. Our focus will be on the CBD component which is only 0.03 percent of THC," she said.

Kenyans took to the social media accounts surprised at Mwangi's eloquence and knowledge in the matter, stating that they had not foreseen such intellect in the team following their agenda which many deem laughable.

"Wajackoyah the 5th chose an intellect as his running mate," Machira Brian stated.

"When Her Excellency Justina Wambui speaks, you hear and see someone who clearly understands what she is saying. She adds value to her boss. Unlike others who speak and their bosses count losses," another user tweeted.

"Roots party has a vision for the people of Kenya. These guys are eloquent, and their style of leadership is amazing. They are promising Kenyans solutions to our challenges unlike their opponents whom we know very well time and again they have been promising us in vain," another user names Edwin Morebu stated.

Among other surprising avenues of revenue collection that the presidential hopeful revealed would be adopted in his government was the lucrative anti-venom market which would see the introduction of snake farming.

Wajackoyah noted that Kenya was missing out on the multi-billion market that he says is very profitable and would aid in gradually pay off its burgeoning debt.

"We will introduce snake farming so that we can actually extract snake poison for purposes of medication. A lot of people are bitten by snakes in this country and we have to wait for snake doses from outside the country from pharmaceutical organisations," he pointed out.

"We have so many snakes in this country and we have so many snake eaters. One of the ways we are going to offset debt is by taking these snakes, extracting poison from them and manufacturing them into anti-venom and shipping the reptiles to other countries where they are consumed," said Wajackoyah on the possibility of incorporating sale of snake meat in the market.

Wajackoyah is among the four presidential candidates who have been cleared to vie in the August 9 polls.
