American Migos Rapper TakeOff Shot Dead

It has been confirmed by US entertainment blog TMZ that rapper Takeoff who is one-third of Migos rap group, is dead after an early morning shooting in Houston, Texas.

The 28-year-old was in the company of his uncle and fellow group member Quavo when the incident happened at a bowling alley called 810 Billiards & Bowling Houston at around 2.30 am on Tuesday, November 1.

It is reported that Takeoff and Quavo were there playing dice when an altercation broke out, leading to someone opening fire and hitting Takeoff either in the head or near to his head. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Footage from the scene has been making rounds on Twitter , and it is clear that Quavo donned in an orange shirt was trying to move Takeoff while yelling for help, while others gathered around him as they help him put him back down.



Two other people were shot and were taken to the hospital in private vehicles. It's unclear what their conditions are. Quavo was not injured

Just a couple of hours before the shooting, Takeoff posted a selfie from the bowling alley while Quavo posted video earlier in the night, driving around Houston with his friends heading out to celebrate one's birthday.

The group comprises of Quavo, Offset and Takeoff and are the brains behind hits such as Bad n Boujee, Stir Fry, Ric Flair Drip and Walk it Talk It.

The group announced their split early in the year over production differences with Quavo and Takeoff venturing out as a duo and Offset opting to pursue a solo career.
